Becoming a self-employed public / private hire driver in Scotland is much easier than you think, and can be rewarding. The minimum requirement is 21 years of age and have held a driving licence for 1 year.

Our fleet consists of over 10 vehicles or you can Use your own by either having or applying for an operators licence, or we have assisted them in finding a vehicle to rent. There are a number of office owned vehicles avaliable lease for a weekly fee. Meaning, all you would need is a Taxi or Private Hire Driver badge, from Argyll and Bute Council which costs only £133 for a badge to get you started 3 years fee unlike other council’s (apply here).

Our control room operates 24/7, 365 days per year to provide the public and our drivers an unrivalled service. We handle approximately 3,000 bookings per week, which equates to over 100,000 thousand jobs per year in our local area not counting the distance work we aquire over the council area, as private hire have no boundry unlike a taxi that is zoned to a certain area in the council .

1.Good knowledge of The Area you work in.
2.Excellent customer service skills.
3.Own satellite navigation system with the latest maps and software updates.
4.You must speak fluent English. other language’s not a problem especially for tourists that can not speak English

Journey request

As soon as a customer books a journey with us, we send you the booking details via email or our driver app or API. With a free-sell agreement in place, you’ll be automatically assigned relevant bookings as soon as we receive them and in line with an agreed Advance Notice Period for all vehicle types.

Fulfilment
Let us know the driver details, ensure the driver is there on time and complete the journey doing the best to receive 100% 5 star customer ratings.
Get paid
Once the journey has been completed and the customers either pay cash or let us know they’re satisfied, or after a 24-hour period, all the complete journeys are added to the payable list. Each day of the week you will receive the invoice for all the completed journeys of the day, with a clear and simple self-billing process and payments within 1 week if account jobs on a friday each week.
